Stakeholder-Event---News-story

On 8 May 2009 the Commission launched its 2008 Annual Review of the sustainability of the London 2012 programme. Over the summer, the Commission held a series of Stakeholder Events in order to: feedback the findings of the Annual Review, discuss the areas for priority action and to consider emerging and future issues. In total over 60 people from 44 different organisations attended the sessions.

The discussions covered a wide range of topics but the issues that were considered most important by participants were: legacy arrangements, using the inspirational power of the Games to bring about change, health and in particular, increasing participation in physical activity/sport, the communication of sustainability and how best to communicate the legacy of knowledge from the innovative work that is being done.

The slides from the sessions are available here.
