Commission launches new website

June 9, 2010

The Commission for a Sustainable London 2012 has launched a new website to enable it to communicate more effectively with the public, press and stakeholders in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The website was designed, built and launched by Double Sided, a small Hackney based company. Double Sided is directed by a husband and wife team. The Commission found Double Sided by looking for website designers on CompeteFor – the business brokerage portal, used for London 2012 opportunities.

Through the new website the Commission aims to disseminate more information about its work and also about London 2012′s sustainability planning. We have started to do this with the Sustainable Games section. In this area of the website there are information pages on London 2012′s activities and plans, case studies, based on the Commission’s reports into specific areas of London 2012′s work and there are useful links to external websites.

Over the coming weeks the Commission will be adding more functions to the website, such as the ability to look at all the recommendations that the Commission has made to London 2012. We will also be introducing a new e-newsletter in the next few weeks.

Please contact us if you would like any more information about the website, Double Sided, or if you spot any errors or encounter any problems.
