Jill Savery is an Olympic gold medalist, eight-time world champion, and International Swimming Hall of Fame Inductee in the sport of synchronized swimming.

She works as Head of Sustainability at America’s Cup Event Authority. Before that Jill worked for London-based sustainability charity BioRegional Development Group leading their London 2012 work program. This role was aimed at supporting London 2012’s ‘Towards a One Planet 2012’ vision and commitment to minimize the footprint of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and maximize sustainability benefits during and after the event.

Prior to joining BioRegional, Jill was the Director of Sustainability Services for a municipal consulting company in California, where she pioneered and managed a Sustainability Services Division integrating climate change, sustainable building, and sustainable planning services into core business offerings. She served as a technical advisor to the California Institute for Local Government’s Climate Action Network. Jill has worked for the United States Olympic Committee managing relationships with nine National Governing Bodies. She also represented the United States at various international conferences on sport and environment.

Jill received a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Political Science. She has coached and mentored athletes for over two decades.
