Over the summer of 2009 the Commission held a series of Stakeholder Sessions to discuss the findings of the Commission’s 2008 Annual Review, which was published in early May 2009, and to shape priorities for the future.

In total over 60 people from 44 different organisations attended the sessions and the discussions covered a wide range of topics, including: legacy, use of the London 2012 brand, the Olympic village, the carbon footprint and transport.

The issues that participants considered most important were: legacy arrangements, using the inspirational power of the Games to bring about change, health and in particular increasing participation in physical activity/sport, the communication of sustainability and how best to communicate the legacy of knowledge from the innovative work that is being done.
