The Legacy Communities Scheme commits to zero carbon with 65% at least delivered on site. LLDC is working on an offset solutions strategy to help deliver the remainder. This will cover what are allowable solutions. It is keen that these include local community benefits. This recommendation remains open at the end of the Commission as the LLDC takes forward the legacy of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and surrounding area. Progress Made

The LLDC is investigating waste and energy options to assess the opportunities and the challenges involved. An environmental sustainability strategy has been produced by the LLDC which references this type of opportunity, although it is not clear if they will be pursuing it. Progress Made

A feasibility study on waste and energy is being conducted into a potential project that could deliver this and the OPLC are working with partner organisations to assess the opportunities and the challenges involved. This will also be dependent on the review of the LMF being undertaken by the OPLC. Progress Made
