Recommendation
That there is greater co-ordination of the health agenda across Key Stakeholders, through existing groups, or possibly by establishing a Health Legacy board as part of the legacy governance structure.

The new joint HMG/GLA legacy unit in the Cabinet Office has responsibility for co-ordination of activity across HMG and the GLA. This includes supporting a Cabinet Committee on the legacy of the Games. Sport and Healthy Living is one theme of the Government legacy plan. Each programme being delivered has its own governance but the Cabinet Office unit seek to provide co-ordination. The London Health Improvement Board also has a potential role to play in this area. Significant Risk
In the Commission's review of Inclusion and Healthy Living, we acknowledged the establishment of the Olympic and Paralympic Health Programme Board and the Physical Activity Programme Board. Both of these have the potential to encourage greater coordination of activities on the ground and to consider health legacy issues. The Commission is still not seeing the rapid progress on this recommendation that is needed despite restating the recommendation in that report and progress is still looked for. Significant Risk

Significant Risk
We are concerned that the healthy living aspects of sustainability are suffering from a lack of strategic management and coordination. We have made three recommendations about co-ordinated action and management of healthy living and consider them all to be at significant risk of not being implemented. There is an increasing risk that the desired healthy living outcomes from the Games and into legacy will not occur, particularly with the radical reforms being undertaken within the health sector at this moment.
