Food suppliers were engaged as part of the development of the London 2012 Food Vision. London 2012 caterers are committed to meeting the food vision baseline and elements of the aspirational standards, including providing healthy, local and sustainable food. There have been meet the buyer days and some caterers are already using new SME suppliers. Opportunities were posted on CompeteFor to give food suppliers who met the Food Vision the chance to become part of the Games-time supply chain. Other organisations, including the GLA, are now adopting the standards in the Food Vision helping to provide demand in legacy. The ODA produced a catering requirement brief. This set out minimum standards for the provision of catering services during the construction of the Olympic Park. It set food safety, sustainability and health standards for contractors via a food scorecard, which assessed performance in these areas and was used by contractors to improve their scores. Complete
