This recommendation was re-iterated in the LOCOG procurement review, during which LOCOG stated that they will seek to influence the marketplace where they can and are engaging with industry on these and other issues. During the 2010 Annual Review we have seen ways in which LOCOG have been influencing the marketplace. These include new cabins with an improved environmental performance that will be brought into the marketplace to be used at the Games and then remain as new stock for others to hire. The London 2012 HFC policy statement indicates that LOCOG will try to influence the hire market. The PVC fabrics policy has clear criteria for post Games use of temporary materials. With certain items there have been challenges, e.g. temporary generators, but solutions are still being sought. Complete
